On 25 April 2015, an earthquake measuring 7.8 magnitude on the Richter scale struck Nepal, killing over 9,000 people and injuring more than 23,000.  In response to this earthquake, on Thursday, May 14, PHP delivered aid to 100 families (750 people) from 4 villages in Damauli Bazar of the Tanahun District.  Most of these families were part of a low caste group, which are usually the last to receive aid. We distributed 100 bags (30kg) of rice, 200 kg of Daal (lentils), tarpaulins, mosquito nets, laundry soap, body soap and cooking oil.
